The parasite is almost always deadly, amongst the 138 known cases according to the Centers forDisease Control and Prevention, between 1962 and 2015 only three of those patients survived.

Custis faces charges of attempted murder, robbery, burglary and child endangerment.The June 21 attack in Millburn was captured on a hidden camera in the victim's home where Curtis was seen punching and kicking the woman and throwing her down stairs while her 3-year-old daughter cowered on a couch.
